Videogames are a universal hobby nearly everywhere. Personally, I don't think it's an achievement to play a LOT of video games especially just a bunch of AAA garbage. Just kind of shows you have way too much free time, at least that was the case for me on why I would play FPS games all the time and not study. Anyway, that being said; I do enjoy videogames. I enjoy retro videogames, classic FPS games or known as "boomer shooters", puzzle games, visual novels. Due to my already inability to want to socialize a lot I don't like to play a lot of multiplayer games but I can play them with a friend or my girlfriend and enjoy them.
Back in 2012, I made a Steam account and I installed TF2 as my first game on Steam on choice; informally my first game had actually been World of Warcraft which I installed and played during The Cataclysm. I had gotten HOOKED on TF2 and quickly got very, very obsessed with the game. I eventually quit in 2016.
Most of what I do on my computer is primarily work, emails, studying so I can hardly find videogames fun, rather just wasting my time and I feel oftentimes pressured to do something. Also, sometimes me and my girlfriend on the topic of multiplayer; we don't exactly share good common interests on games unfortunately, so I'm left with either me not liking it or her not liking it. She likes RTS games, and she never was good at arena shooters like I was, thus she never played them regularly. I remember when we first met she kept forcing me to play Red Orchestra 2.
I enjoy retro FPS games and I'm glad they're getting a revival among indie game developers. My favorite ones, and ones I think you should play, are:
Honorary mentions include Postal 1 and Postal 2 and HROT.
That aside of the topic of FPS games, my other favorite video games are way older games particularly from the Turbografx and Sega Genesis era. I love these and I think you should too. One I took up a massive liking to is the Madou Monogatari series despite its faults. It's not particularly hard either, it's easy to pick up.
Madou Monogatari 1-23 SoundtrackVisual novels aren't really considered a video game by a lot of people, but that's a dumb debate I'm not going to put on my website. My favorite ones include:
Honorary mentions include: Kindred Spirits on The Roof, because I haven't gotten to it yet. Fucking school.
