ZE INTERWEBS! Okay. I'm just kidding. The internet. These are just my VERY personal thoughts about the internet. Don't take anything I say to face value. Unless I profess it as fact, which I probably will. The internet has shifted a lot than what I've known of it when I was growing up. First off, it's become more corporate. It's become more.. artificial. None of the mainstream aspects of the internet feels real or good. Sometimes I had a habit of being sent Tiktok and Youtube videos from people on Discord and it was kind of startling to me that these are the "average"'s people internet. This is what they're choosing to sit in front of. Not to mention; most of the comments are absolutely braindead because some of them are literally just kids.

I do not believe in a centralized internet. I do not AGREE with a centralized internet, and I do not believe corporations and in hand government entities should have control of the internet like they do now. That being said: don't engage with corporate internet. Nobody cares if your favorite brand of corn slurry cereal tweeted out something "sassy" or "funny". And if you DO have to engage with corporate internet, at least don't promote it and try to market the people around you too.

Do you or someone you know has a habit of outrage, being angry, being overstimulated, and focusing on online socializing? Tell them to stop. The internet and your laptop doesn't have to be so rage-inducing all the time and induce so much misery that isn't even real. The internet can be a powerful, meaningful tool. It can allow connections from across the world (be wary of weirdos online); it can be an educational tool, you can access lectures and tutorials all around the world and even learn how to code for free. A lot of horrible or weird incidences that happen on the internet likely could've been prevented if you had any other hobbies aside from online socializing.

Do you know someone who perhaps has fringe ideological beliefs that seem barely incomprehensible and very, very online and do not apply to any real world models? Cut them off. It will relieve you greatly.

I'm not giving the internet enough credit. The internet is how I met my girlfriend and how it blossomed into a mature relationship, perhaps you can have the same success too. The internet is how I receive files P2P so I can watch a movie that I really wanted to not pay money for.

But at the same time.. Be careful how you connect to the internet. Be careful how you use the internet. The netspace is way different place than what it was in the 2000's, and I feel like it is frustrating to use now, not particular having to do with the ease of use but online socialization and corporate.

Oh, and Mr. Beast should eat shit.
