About Myself

Nice to meet you. My name is Index. I named myself Index after A Certain Magical Index, a favorite light novel of mine. I'm from a Chinese-Korean enclave in the United States, I work as a database programmer and manager as my dayjob alongside with some independent coding projects and scripts in my spare time. I also enjoy drawing.

My interests, and disinterests include..:

• Computers. Everything computer related, down to hardware itself.
• I like to watch older anime from the 80's. Particularly OVAs. Some of my favorites include Bubblegum Crisis, Gunsmith Cats, and Read or Die.
• I like classic FPS games, ranging from the simplistic satisfying format of Doom, Quake, and Duke Nukem to slightly more complex games like Half Life and TF2.
• I love electronic, metal, and shoegaze. I listen to almost anything as long as it sounds good.

I have been using the Internet since the first introduction of Windows 98. I named myself "WindowsMilleniumEdition" after fond memories of Windows ME despite it being a pretty disliked operating system. I am a person with a lot of melacholy and nostalgia, and I love to discuss old media and topics from a long time ago.
